CLT Room Rentals offers fully furnished, all-inclusive private rooms in professionally managed coliving homes across Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA. Below, we've grouped the questions we hear most often — from what's actually included in rent to how the application and tour process works. Pricing & What's Included

Rooms range from $725 to $950 per month, all-inclusive. Standard Rooms with a shared bathroom start at $725, and Master Suites with a private bathroom run $925–$950. Every price you see is the full price — there's no separate utility bill or add-on fees layered on top. You can browse current pricing and photos for each open room on our available rooms page.
One flat monthly payment covers your fully furnished private bedroom, all utilities (water, electricity, and gas), high-speed WiFi, parking, and monthly professional cleaning of common areas and shared bathrooms. You also get full use of furnished common areas like the kitchen and living room. There are no hidden fees — what you see in your quote is what you pay each month.
A Master Suite is a private bedroom with its own attached bathroom, roughly 205 square feet, priced between $925 and $950 per month. A Standard Room is a private bedroom with a shared bathroom, roughly 150–170 square feet, priced between $725 and $850 per month. Both are single-occupancy, fully furnished, and include the same all-inclusive amenities — the difference is bathroom privacy and room size. Yes. A $500 refundable security deposit reserves your room. It's returned in full at move-out as long as there's no damage beyond normal wear and tear. We never ask for any payment — deposit included — before you've had a chance to tour the property in person or virtually.
Yes, every bedroom is move-in ready from day one. Each room includes a full-size bed, a quality mattress, a desk, a chair, and a nightstand, and select rooms also include a smart TV and mini-fridge. You never have to buy or move furniture — just bring your belongings and settle in.
We typically offer lease terms of 6 to 12 months, which keeps our homes stable and gives residents a sense of community. Short-term options may be available on a case-by-case basis depending on what's open — ask our team when you submit your interest form and we'll let you know what fits your timeline.

Application & Screening

To keep our homes respectful, stable, and well-maintained, applicants need: no prior evictions or outstanding landlord collections, a minimum credit score of 550, a completed background check, and verifiable income of at least 2.5x the monthly rent. You can start the process anytime through our online interest form.
Possibly, yes. Our minimum credit score is 550, not 700 or higher like many traditional apartment complexes require. We review the full picture rather than screening people out over one number, so a lower score doesn't automatically disqualify you. If you're unsure where you stand, submit an interest form and our team can talk through your specific situation.
Yes. Every applicant completes a screening through TransUnion, processed via Innago, our property management platform. The background check costs $35. If you apply, get approved, and sign your lease within 24 hours of your tour, that $35 fee is credited back to you — so a fast decision costs you nothing.
You'll need verifiable, steady income of at least 2.5 times the monthly rent for the room you're applying for. For a $725/month room, that works out to roughly $1,813 per month in gross income. This applies whether your income comes from a single job, multiple jobs, or another verifiable source.
No — never. We never collect a deposit, application fee, or any other payment before you've toured the room, either in person or virtually. If anyone asks you to pay before a tour, that's not how we operate. Tour first, then decide if it's right for you.

Absolutely — we encourage it. We offer both in-person and virtual tours, and we never ask for payment before you've toured. Submit an interest form on our homepage or through the apply page, and our team will coordinate a time that works for your schedule.
As fast as 48 to 72 hours from your tour, once your application, background check, and lease signing are complete. Because every room is already furnished and utilities are already set up, there's no waiting on movers, furniture deliveries, or utility company appointments — you just bring your things and move in.
Our team responds to every inquiry within 2 hours. Once you submit the interest form, we follow up quickly to answer questions and get a tour scheduled — no waiting days to hear back like you might with a traditional landlord or listing site.

Yes. If you're relocating from out of town or just can't make it in person, we offer virtual tours so you can see the room, the common spaces, and the home before applying. Either way, you'll always have a full look at the space before any payment is involved.

Living Experience & Policies

Each home has five private bedrooms, and we cap occupancy at five residents per home — one person per room. That keeps common areas from feeling crowded and gives everyone a quieter, more comfortable living experience than a typical high-density share house.
No. Every resident gets their own private bedroom with its own smart lock — you're never sharing a bedroom with anyone. Some rooms share a bathroom (Standard Rooms) while others include a private bathroom (Master Suites), but your bedroom itself is always exclusively yours. Common areas like the kitchen and living room are shared, similar to any roommate situation, just professionally managed and screened.
Every bedroom has its own smart lock, so your room is secured independent of the rest of the house. Homes also use keyless entry at the front door, so there are no physical keys to lose or copy. Combined with background-checked housemates and a five-person cap per home, it's designed to feel private and secure, not like a free-for-all.
No. To keep our homes clean, quiet, and allergen-friendly for every resident, pets are not permitted at any of our properties.
All homes are 100% smoke-free indoors. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas, where applicable, so common areas and bedrooms stay smoke-free for everyone.
Overnight guests are welcome, but stays are limited to two consecutive nights and a total of four nights in any given month. This keeps the home comfortable and predictable for every resident while still giving you flexibility to host visitors.

Our Charlotte homes are all in the University City area, one of Charlotte's most connected neighborhoods. You're about 5 minutes from UNC Charlotte, 3 minutes from PNC Music Pavilion (Truliant Amphitheater), 10 minutes from Concord Mills, and 15 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. For the privacy and safety of our current residents, we share the exact address of a home only once a tour is scheduled. You'll always know the neighborhood, drive times to major landmarks, and general area upfront — the specific address comes as part of booking your tour through the interest form.
